PopSugar MustHave February Box Review

IMG_0214Pop Sugar Must Have is a monthly lifestyle subscription box geared towards women and showcasing all the latest “must haves.” February’s box had the following six items:

IMG_0222U.S. Apothecary Rose Water Bubble Bath – I was very happy to see this item. I love bubble bath and this one seems extra luxurious. It has a nice delicate rose scent and is not overpowering in the slightest. My bottle had leaked a bit in shipping but thankfully it was well encased in a plastic bag and did not effect the other items.

IMG_0220Heart shaped cheese serving tray w/ knife – This item is just ok for me. I don’t have a cheese board so I guess this will get some use but I already had the same knife and so I can tell you it’s not actually all that great for cutting cheese. At least not in my experience. We have a wire cheese cutter which works much better.

IMG_0217Chuao Rocky Road Chocolate Bar – This chocolate bar is absolutely delicious and possibly one of the best chocolate bars out there.

BaubleBar Arrow Necklace – This seems like a lovely delicate necklace but it’s not my style so it will be a gift.

IMG_0219Tarte 12 hour blush – I have not tried this brand before but 12 hour blush seems like a good idea.

Figs & Rouge Pomegranate Lip Balm – I haven’t tried this yet but it looks very fancy. Due to subscription boxes I pretty much have lip balm coming out my ears so I will most likely gift this.

Fingerpaints Nail Polish – I haven’t tried this either but since pink really isn’t my shade so this will be a gift.

The bubble bath and the chocolate bar were my favorite items. I think value wise this box definitely delivers and the contents certainly fit well with a February theme. As always I look forward to seeing what they do next month. What do you think of PopSugarMustHave?

PopSugar Must Have January Review

There were a lot of good coupons floating about over the holidays and so I decided to sign up for a 3 month subscription to PopSugar. I had actually forgotten that I had even signed up until I got the notification about the shipment. It seems like mommy mush brain is so prominent these days, but that’s a subject for another time.

Here is a picture of what was in my January Box:

IMG_0025

There were a total of seven items which I thought was a pretty good amount.

IMG_0030

Jack & Lucy Pom Pom Hat $22 – My favorite item in the box is the hat. I love love the hat. I had needed a new hat and had been hoping someone would buy me one for Christmas but no one did. The hat is very soft and looks great on. My only complaint about it is that it is dry clean only. So I will have to be very careful to keep it away from my toddler (aka destructo-baby).

Manduka eQua Yoga Hand Towel $16 – This towel is very soft and will be nice to have once I kick my butt in gear and actually start working on my new years resolution to exercise. I know I’m supposed to start my new resolution New Years Day but what can I say. Next Monday will work just as well right. Or Tuesday. Maybe Wednesday. By Thursday for sure.

IMG_0027

KeepCup 12 oz Reusable Coffee Cup $26 – I think this cup is great. I am all for not using the disposable cups to drink my coffee in. Of course one of my other new years resolutions was to quit drinking coffee but we won’t talk about that.

IMG_0026

Nature Valley Protein Granola $4- This seems like it would be a good product except that it contains soy protein isolate which is a no go for me. So I gave this to a friend. Haven’t heard back yet as to the flavor but I’m sure it’s probably good.

IMG_0032

Empire Skin Jewel Tattoos $18 – At first I wasn’t that excited about faux tattoos until I read it can be used as nail art also. Once I have that figured out I’ll post pictures.

ToGoSpa Eyes $12 – This packet contains 3 under eye treatments. I haven’t tried them yet but I plan to very soon.

IMG_0033

Ultra Repair Cream $28 – This product is great for those of us with dry skin who live in cold climates. I put some of this on my hands right away. It’s a bit greasy for me and I’m not crazy about the slight medicine-y smell but it really works. After it had soaked in my hands were significantly softer. So it’s good stuff.

Verdict – For me this PopSugar box was a win. I will use everything in it except the Granola. It was a full of perfect choices for January and I’m extremely pleased at the total value of $136.

December PopSugar Must Have Review

mobile 038

PopSugar Must Have is a monthly subscription where each month they send a mix of items from beauty, fashion, food, fitness, home, etc. The cost is $39.95 a month but you can usually find good coupon codes and deals if you search around. This month’s box contained 6 items and was one of my favorite boxes ever.

mobile 040

Subtle Luxury Speckled Metallic Scarf – Value $62 – I love love this scarf. Perfect for this time of year.

Sparkle Pop Jewelry Sydney Pendant Necklace – Value $42 – This is one of the few jewelry items from subscription boxes that I’ve actually liked. I haven’t worn it yet but I think it’s a great item.

Canvas Home Dauville Bowl in Platinum – Value $29 – I really like this. What a great little bowl for putting jewelry in.

mobile 042

Smashbox Be Legendary Long Wear Lip Lacquer in Bordeaux – Value $24 – This lipstick color was a little bright for me but I have to say that it lasts and lasts. It stays on longer than any other lipstick I’ve ever used including lip pencils.

Knot & Bow Gift Package Tags – Value $4 – I’m not exactly sure why they chose blue gift tags for a December box. I would’ve preferred red or silver or something but I will use them eventually.

mobile 086

Williams Sonoma Cupcake Mix in Vanilla Bean – Value $15 – I was skeptical about these because $15 for cupcake mix seemed just ridiculous but I made them and they were YUM. I mean seriously good. Like the best cupcakes I have ever had. The box only made about a dozen but even so I may have to buy more of these. LOVE LOVE LOVED the cupcakes!

Verdict – This box was a win for me. I liked every item in it.

September PopSugar Must Have Review

IMG_6519

Popsugar Must Have is a monthly subscription box full of “fun, must-have picks across fashion, beauty, home decor, fitness, and more.” This box contained seven “must have” items.

Tilo Scarf in Raisin – This scarf was just ok for me. I debated about keeping it but in the end I gifted it to someone else.

Nicole Miller Earbuds – These look nice but I really have no use for earbuds at the moment. I will probably save them to use at some later date.

Urban Remedy Almond Brownie – This brownie wasn’t the greatest. It was just ok.

Oribe Superfine Hairspray – I was actually pretty happy to see this in the box because I needed new hairspray.

Gold Foil Arrow Pencils – I have very little use for pencils. I mostly use pens but it’s nice they included a sharpener with it.

Rifle Paper Co Notecards – I hate hate hate these notecards. I gave them away. I just didn’t like the prints at all.

Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Sea Salt & Almond Minis – I really liked these chocolates and they were my favorite item in the box.

Verdict – I really hated this box. I think I will take a break from PopSugar for a few months.

PopSugar August Box

IMG_6294

The August PopSugar Box contained 8 items.

IMG_6295

Mason Jar Cookie Company Mix – This was a really good cookie mix. I would absolutely buy more of this.

Think Thin Protein Bar – This bar contains soy so I passed it on to a friend

IMG_6296

Ocean Tide Sea Salt Candle – I love candles so I thought this was a great choice for summertime.

Lollia Shower Gel – This is probably a lovely shower gel but I wasn’t crazy about the scent so I gave it to my mom.

IMG_6297

Kendra Scott Necklace – I was almost going to like this except that the chain was too small and didn’t fit me. I know I probably could’ve bought a bigger chain but I just gave it to a friend.

Bite Beauty Fresh Fruit Lip Gloss – This was a bit sticky and not really my favorite lip gloss.

IMG_6298

Turkish T Towel – These aren’t as nice as the Turkish Towels from the resort box but they still worked great for going to the pool and I love how easily they fit into my travel bag.

IMG_6299

Goodbyn – This is still in our cabinet wrapped in plastic but I think it will be very useful to use for taking lunch on the go.

Verdict – All in all I love PopSugar. My favorite item by far was the cookie mix. So Yum! Did you get PopSugar Must Have this month?

June Pop Sugar Must Have Review & Coupon Code

PopSugar Must Have is a monthly subscription box which sends “hand-selected items in beauty, fashion, home, fitness, and food.” The cost is $39.95 a month with shipping included. Here is what was in the box.

IMG_6111

There were six items and a gift card. The first item you really notice is the hardcover book ‘The One & Only’ by Emily Giffin. Retail value $16.50

IMG_6112

I have not read this book yet but I’ve heard good things about it. Hopefully I will be able to start reading it this week.

One Potato Two Potato Hawaiian BBQ Kettle Potato Chips Retail value $2.00

IMG_6113

These had a good tangy flavor and they were made with all natural ingredients. It’s nice to see a BBQ chip without MSG.

You Smell Lemon Verbena Wet Wipes Retail value $6

IMG_6114

With a toddler wet wipes are a must. I haven’t tried these particular ones yet but I’m happy they were included in the box.

Sachajuan Shiny Citrus Body Lotion Retail value $24

IMG_6115

This is a nice lotion with a soft citrusy scent and while I like it I would never pay full retail for it.

Lollies Hair Ties Retail value $8

IMG_6116

In the summertime I pretty much always wear my hair in a ponytail and I always need more hair ties. I don’t know where they go but I am forever losing them.

Turkish-T turkish towel Retail value $32

IMG_6120

I loved the turkish towel from the PopSugar Special Edition Resort box so when I saw that there was a turkish towel in the June box I knew I had to get it. I LOVE the turkish towels. I have already been to the pool several times with this. They are compact and lightweight making them super easy to fit in a gym bag. The blue and white stripes are perfect for summertime and while I would certainly never pay full retail for this I love that it was included in the box. It’s not quite as luxurious as the one from the resort box but still very nice.

Also included in the box was a $15 Native Union coupon. I had never heard of Native Union so I had to look up their website. They sell tech accessories such as chargers, headphones, cases etc. I doubt I will use this coupon so maybe I will pass it on to someone else.

I really loved the June PopSugar Must Have Box. To get your PopSugar box click here and enter coupon code REFER5 for $5 off your first month or coupon code JUNESELECT10 for $10 off a three month subscription.
